THE SPACE:

Considering it has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and sits on nearly half an acre of land, the Westhaven Heights Wonderland is absolutely perfect for your mid-size gathering. Constructed in 1952 and very thoughtfully updated, the location of this mid-century modern delight is ideal for all of your Colorado adventures. Whether you want to head downtown, up to the mountains, down to the Springs, or over to Boulder, the simple highway access is convenient no matter your destination. The Denver Aquarium, Buffalo Bill’s Grave, The Denver Zoo, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, The Museum and Nature and Science, skiing, and all major sporting events are easily accessible via the highway. Of course, considering what is available in the neighborhood, you may as well just stay put. There is enough adventure within walking distance to keep you entertained for a long, long time.

When you arrive at the Westhaven Heights Wonderland, you are greeted by ample parking and a beautifully landscaped yard with well-established trees. Sitting on nearly half an acre, there is abundant space for all of your guests to get out and enjoy the sunshine at 5,490 feet above sea level and never have to leave the property.

Walking in the front door of the home, the vibe of the outside architecture carries through beautifully to the inside. The furniture and color palette are reminiscent of times gone by with a modern twist. Bright and open, the great room is the perfect central meeting area for your group. The spacious living room looks out over the backyard and allows access to the large deck. Watch TV, talk, or just hang out. You can even grab something from the fridge on the way in.

The kitchen and breakfast bar are both parts of the great room, so you won’t miss any of the action. With seating for two and standing room for many more, create a casual dining experience, or just eat on the go. The updated appliances and sensible layout make the kitchen a wonderful room to create culinary magic. You even have a nice view out the window as you rinse the dishes!

Attached to the great room is the formal dining room. It has comfortable seating for six. With exposed brick, a plethora of windows, access to the large deck, and a see-through fireplace connecting to the living room, you will probably find yourself savoring less-formal meals in here as well.

There are two bedrooms upstairs, the master suite and the upstairs spare bedroom. The master suite features a king bed and its own private balcony. Attached to the master suite is the master bath. Large and luxurious, the master bath has his and her sinks, as well as plenty of space to share. The upstairs spare bedroom has a super-comfy queen bed and an abundance of natural light.

Downstairs is nearly another home unto itself.

The downstairs family room has a giant L-shaped sofa for hunkering down and enjoying the TV. Also, there is a gaming/snack table available for your use. Right off the family room sits a well-calculated kitchenette containing a fridge, microwave, toaster, hotplate, coffeemaker, and sink.

There are two bedrooms downstairs. Both have queen beds. The first bedroom has carpeted floors, a double closet for extra storage space, double nightstands, a dresser, and a dressing mirror. The second bedroom is also carpeted, has a closet, dresser, nightstand, and dressing footstool. Both rooms are cozy, warm, inviting, and have plenty of natural light during the day, as well as lots of artificial light for the evening.

There is one shared bathroom downstairs. It has tile floors, a sink, shower, and toilet.

You can walk out from the lower level into the backyard or walk in from the backyard to the lower level. It’s simply a matter of perspective.

Outside, the Westhaven Heights Wonderland brings Colorful Colorado to your doorstep. The main deck has table seating for six and bench seating for another six. The balcony off the master suite has a loveseat and coffee table. Just down the hill from the deck and balcony is the firepit. Fenced and private, you can fashion the Westhaven Heights Wonderland into your very own ultimate suburban glamping experience.
